I started a new job today, as some people might be aware. I'm working for a company called PBP; it doesn't pay all that well, in comparison to other things, but 7.75 an hour isn't bad when I was living off $880 a month from unemployment for how long.
This first week was training. I made calls out the ass to god only knows how many executives; I got hung up on more times than I can count, and ended up making 27 sales over the entire week. Which was better than they expected me to have done. It was over 1 sale an hour at least, and one man asked if I could call back Monday for an answer. He said he would ONLY talk to me. Nobody else. Which was awesome.
My new coworkers are fun; most, like before, are middle-aged women, and they're all really sweet. The training manager, a younger woman named Tawny, said that she thinks I have the potential to make a lot of money there. Hopefully, since I'm in a fucking hole like no other and I NEED to go to uni to work in Korea as an ESL teacher.
Considering finding a second job nearby. There's a diner open 24/7 nearby; I should walk over there and see about working a few hours a day there. I need to work 60 hours over 2 weeks at PBP, so 30 a week on average, which is 6 a day. They said I can work 35 hours a week if I can handle it, which would make me 8.00/hour... it might be better pay to work at the diner though? I dunno. We'll see. I could work there weekends...
Gonna cut this off before it gets too long; I'm on my phone and can't remember HTML tags for on Dreamwidth, so I might have to manually edit my LJ entry with cut tags. -____- I'll figure it out later. Duncurr, you'll all live, etc etc. Just wanted to ramble about my life. :3 Hope everyone's well.
